Mumbai, 28th January 2014 - Dolna, the global platform for Art, has turned its spotlight on Kolkata-based artist, Subrata Ghosh.

Lauded for his style of layering his canvas with jeweled hues before creating the characters, Subrata depicts the tranquility and divinity of the Ajanta figuration and Gupta sculptures through his work. As is evident in his paintings, Subrata is inspired by the classical art of India. 'Nirvana', Radha Krishna and Ganesh Janani have been the primary subjects explored through his language of art.

Having graduated from the Indian College of Art and Draftsmanship, Subrata has presented his work at more than 30 exhibitions at the prominent art hubs of the country.
